Boats at anchor in Hawaii.
Boats at anchor in Hawaii. This is an images of three small wood boats moored in the shallow waters just North of Kaneohe Hawaii. As the sun was rising, it was illuminating the eastwardly sides of the boats with the warm tropical Hawaiian sun. The faintest ocean ripples were skimming past these heavy boats without being noticed.

GET OUT..!
GET OUT..! The annual womens outrigger canoe race from Moloka'i to Waikiki beach Hawaii. Several miles off Oahu's coast, there was a scheduled paddler switch. Three of the crew dove off the boat and were quickly replaced with fresh arms. The crew swap was facilitated by a chase boat that followed the team for the entire crossing.
If they build it, they will go..!
If they build it, they will go..! A wooden outrigger canoe was under construction just to the North of Kaneohe Oahu Hawaii. The tools being used to make this style of canoe were all hand tools, as they were strewn inside the boat. The manufacturing style is one that has ben passed down through the generations. As the morning sun rose on this canoe, the tropical colors were coming to life as a beautiful arrangement. This image was taken in the 1990's with a film camera.
